The Janeth P. Whiting Community Center stands at the heart of our church’s commitment to outreach, hospitality, and service. Named in honor of a beloved leader whose legacy of compassion and community engagement continues to inspire, the center exists to serve as a vibrant hub for connection, learning, and care.

Our Mission

The Community Center is dedicated to enriching lives and strengthening neighborhoods by offering space, support, and programming that uplifts individuals and brings people together.

Whether it’s a community class, a place to gather for conversation and care, an opportunity to experience our annual Prom Dress Giveaway or or time spent with Seniors in our Senior Bible Study, we believe that every person who walks through our doors is a beloved child of God—deserving of dignity, belonging, and opportunity.

What We Offer

• Educational Programs: Classes, workshops, and Bible Studies

SENIOR BIBLE STUDY:

Whether you’ve studied the Bible for decades or are just beginning, this group provides a supportive environment for learning, discussion, and prayer. Together, we explore Scripture with relevance to our daily lives—nurturing not only knowledge but also encouragement and hope.

What to Expect:

• Thoughtful study – Currently we are studying Genesis:  “God of Creation”
• Lively discussion
• Fellowship and connection
• Prayer support

Our Senior Bible Study is not just about learning—it’s about living out faith in community. We share stories, reflect on our journeys, and strengthen one another as we walk together in Christ’s love.
