Dear Friends in Christ,
As April unfolds, we journey together toward the great celebration of the Christian faith—Easter, the proclamation that Christ is risen! The resurrection of Jesus is not simply a moment in history; it is the heartbeat of our faith and the foundation of our hope. In a world that often feels weighed down by uncertainty, loss, and division, the empty tomb reminds us that God’s power is greater than despair, and that new life is always possible.
The resurrection tells us that God is never finished with us. Just as the stone was rolled away from the tomb, God continues to roll away the stones that seem to block our path—fear, discouragement, broken relationships, and even doubt. Resurrection hope suggests endings can be new beginnings. In our own lives, we see glimpses of this promise whenever forgiveness replaces resentment, when courage rises out of uncertainty, and when faith carries us through difficult seasons.
This same resurrection hope lives within the life of our church. Each act of kindness, each prayer offered, each song sung in worship, and each hand extended to our community becomes a small sign of the risen Christ at work among us. When we gather to worship, serve our neighbors, share meals, comfort those who grieve, and welcome those seeking a place to belong, we are participating in the ongoing story of resurrection. The church is not simply a building or an institution—it is a living testimony that Christ is alive and still transforming hearts and communities.
As we celebrate Easter this month, I invite you to look for signs of resurrection all around you. You may find them in the beauty of spring as creation awakens again, in the laughter of children, in the quiet strength of someone persevering through hardship, or in the simple yet powerful act of worshiping together. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is the power that continues to renew our faith, strengthen our church, and guide us forward with hope.
Michelle and I extend our warmest wishes for a Happy Easter. May this Easter season fill your heart with renewed joy and confidence in God’s promises. Christ’s resurrection assures us that no darkness can overcome the light of God’s love.
Grace and peace to you all,
Pastor Mike
